This site is operated by DEMIGODS GROUP LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14831016), registered office 1st Floor, 20 Chapel Street, Liverpool, L3 9AG. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
Where these rules apply
This policy is written to meet UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. If you're accessing this site from the EU, EU GDPR may also apply — the practices described below are consistent with both.
What this site is
This is a pre-launch page for our upcoming Kickstarter campaign. It does not currently sell products, take payment, or operate customer accounts.
What we collect
The only personal data this site is designed to collect is your email address, if you submit it through one of the "Notify Me" or "Subscribe" sign-up forms on this site.
We use Klaviyo, a third-party email marketing platform, to store your email address and send you updates about our Kickstarter campaign and product launch. When you submit the form, your email address is sent directly to Klaviyo — it is not stored on our own servers separately. We use double opt-in, so you'll receive a confirmation email and nothing further is sent until you confirm. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send you, or by emailing us at legal@demigodsproject.com. Klaviyo's own handling of this data is set out in Klaviyo's Privacy Notice.
We do not currently run advertising or analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy for the full detail, including what loads if you accept the cookie banner.
If you contact us directly
If you email us — for instance, using the address on our Contact page — we'll hold that correspondence, and anything you choose to tell us in it, for as long as needed to reply to you and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you follow up.
Hosting
This site is built and hosted on Shopify. Shopify processes technical data — such as IP address and device information — as necessary to deliver the site to your browser and keep it secure, acting as our data processor for that purpose. Shopify's own handling of this data is set out in Shopify's Privacy Policy.
International transfers
Shopify operates infrastructure across multiple countries. Where technical data is processed outside the UK as part of Shopify's hosting service, Shopify is responsible for the safeguards that apply to that transfer. For specifics, see Shopify's own Privacy Policy — we're not in a position to make representations about infrastructure we don't control.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to how it's used. Given how little this site currently collects, in most cases there will be nothing recorded against you — but you're welcome to ask.

Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK's independent regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.
Data retention
Your email address is retained by Klaviyo for as long as you remain subscribed to our mailing list, or until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, whichever is sooner. Direct email correspondence you send us is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with your enquiry, and not normally beyond 24 months unless we're required to keep it longer.
Changes to this policy
This site is under active development ahead of our Kickstarter campaign. As functionality changes — including once the campaign itself is live — we'll update this policy to reflect exactly what the site does at that time, and update the date above.
